Fancy an inspiring day out?

Lucy and myself are thinking of exciting things for us to do and see out and about in our region.  Here are a few of our ideas.

We already have a great deal of interest in the Stitching Sewing & Hobbycrafts Show in Manchester on 10th September

From a gardening point of view – We have already mentioned Tatton Flower Show 23rd July and later in the year there is Southport Flower Show on 20th August.

The Manchester City Art Gallery has an exhibition of “the Lost Gardens of Manchester” by the National Trust.

From a sewing and craft point of view we are able to offer a guided tour of Gawthorpe Hall in Padiham and its textile collection.

At Tate Modern in Liverpool, there is a Jackson Pollock Exhibition at the moment which we could combine with a workshop in the joyful Jackson Pollock paint throwing technique.

Have you heard of the Knutsford Tapestry… made over 4 years for the millennium. Would you be interested in a trip there?

Yorkshire Sculpture Park  (museum of the year 2014) is worth a visit,  there are some interesting exhibitions on and Rob Ryan who is a well known.

Have you any thing you think we should visit. We can only visit ones where over 10 people want to go.
